Tiny Book Necklaces for Book Week!
Thank you so much to Quincy's mum Brigitte who spent time in our classroom today telling the story of the Swiss Legend 'The Devil's Bridge' - the children were on the edge of their seats in suspense!
She also took time to show us the world's smallest book as well as explained how we could make them ourselves.
We used the afternoon to make our own tiny books and turned them into necklaces. Fantastic for fine motor skills as well as a lot of fun! A great Book Week activity.

Collecting Bacteria!
Today we collected bacteria from all around the classroom using swabs. We will watch this bacteria grow over the next week. We even took it from all of our own hands... I wonder who is carrying the most bacteria! (We will find out!)
Over the next week, we are going to research bacteria, understand how it grows, how can be good for us and then write an informative report about bacteria. If there is time we might even make bacteria inspired art!

NZ Writes Postcards
We have been lucky enough to have taken part in a New Zealand wide writing activity, whereby children have written a metaphor about themselves onto a postcard which will be sent this Friday to another school in New Zealand! The school we have been paired with is situated in Nelson, so we hope the children there enjoy reading them as much as we enjoyed writing them! We look forward to receiving theirs!
Ollie's Terrific Skydive
